hiker injured and rescued in Little Cottonwood

I think all of us who spend time on talus and boulder fields have occasional nightmares about a big rock rolling over on us. Some areas seem to have so many rocks perched in balance, ready to go.
 
Wow. That reminds me of the guy who was out solo in the Winds and got stuck when a rock pinned his leg(s?). He wasn't fortunate enough to have friends nearby or to be in an area that sees much visitation at all.

Great to hear they got him out and he's doing alright now.
 
I heard this was underway just before sunset last night as the storms were rolling in. I'm so glad they got him out and all the rescuers off before things got too crazy up there.
