Help With Water On White Rim

The week of Memorial Day I'm leading a group on the White Rim Trail.

Right now were a group of 11 and we're going to take our time and do it
over six days. We've got one support vehicle with a second possible if needed.

If I plan on 1 gallon of water per person per day that comes to 66 gallons of water.
That seems like 66 gallon jugs could fill up the back of a full size truck by itself.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or experience you can give me on
handling this issue.

In reality a gallon of water a day per person is probably more than will actually
be used, but do I dare take less with no other sources available?

Seems like I've always planned one per day per person. Gallon that is. Seems like we usually carry some out but I wouldn't cut back due to contingency reasons and how much pasta cooking water you have to do. We typically do it in four days too. Plenty to do to take up six but you need campsites and more water

That's kinda what I was thinking. Maybe get one of those 50 gallon water tanks and then 3 5-gallon coolers.

I like the blue 7 gallon cubes quite a bit. I have 4 of them that I rotate usage through. Owning/buying 9 or 10 wouldn't be fun, but maybe you get a handful of people to buy 1 or 2 and contribute usage for the trip and you're all set.

|and decided that I was going to need six days.
I've got Airport, White Crack, Murphy, Potato Bottom
& Labyrinth camp spots - which is another contributor
to doing more days - I read so many good things about
White Crack & Murphy camp sites and I loved the
images of the Labyrinth spot overlooking the river.

I actually like that a lot!

Being a cube should make it easier to stack & pack 10 of them.

Plus I like the spigot!

The spigot is reversible too, so that they can stack and so you know what one you're using. They're great to have around. Every time I head out, even if it's a backpacking trip, I keep one in my truck so everyone can top off and have water at the end of the hike. Good investment.

Unless a better option shows itself, I'm gonna go with Nick's suggestion and get the 7 gallon tanks.
