Fall Colors 2021

Colors, especially golden aspens were on fire everywhere as I drove north through Swan Valley Thursday and south through Star Valley Sunday evening... I really was fortunate this year.
It is peak out there for sure, especially with storms coming this week.
I will have more, but here is a teaser.

Down here on Cedar Mountain it was about peak time this weekend. Still some greens mixed in but in other areas all the leaves were already gone.

During lunch there was still some frozen rain from last night on the trees, and plenty of snow mixed with the waning fall colors.

I love seeing yellow aspens in the snow. So awesome!

Colors pretty much done here. Early winter arrived in the high country last week, with strong winds stripping the alpine larch and valley bottom aspen, but closer to home on a mtb ride in a local park, there were still some remaining (mostly gone now).
