Crystal Geyser, Green River

A Happy New Year to everybody!

There are rumors here in Germany that Crystal Geyser stopped its eruptions completely? I hope that is not true.

Has somebody new and valid informations.

I have no clue...but I wouldn't be surprised....I've been there quite a few times over the past few years and not once have I seen it go off...

We were so lucky to see it in action. Between the eruptions quite a bit of time elapses - between 8 and 22 hours.

I haven't been there for more than a year, but the last two times I was there, there was a strange odor coming from the geyser that I hadn't noticed in the past. I could actually see "fumes" escaping from the top of the pipe that weren't there before on previous trips. I can't help but wonder if the water permeated some underground petroleum deposit that's hindered its upward eruption?
