Instead of downhill skiing I practiced my cross country skills this Sunday. Drove up old highway 31 from Lava turned on dirt road that goes up to Big Spring Camp Ground and follows Pebble Creek. We skied up 3.0 miles had a snack and then skied back down. I have a sunburn! :) spring is in the air!

After skiing we soaked in Lava Hot springs.

Ha !!! What's that brown spot in the road? Skius interuptus. Looked like an excellent day, especially the soak after.

Ha! Skius interuptus...had a few of those. For snow that I thought would stick around until the middle of June! It sure is melting fast.

Thanks for posting. It looks like your snow is melting also.

The hillside to the right in the second photo was covered with snow the week before or at least that is what Clay and Laurel told me. The snowshoed the hillside. Nothing on it Sunday. Huge stretch of road without snow except on the sides which is where we skied until the snow covered the road again by the time we turned around and came back the snow on the sides was slush! Barely enough to ski on.
