And now for a little something different, I thought all you out west people might like to see lots of greenery and non-muddy water :)

The weather in KY has been really weird for October, lots of sun, highs in the 80s, perfect outdoors weather. My mother in law was going to be in town, so I got to go enjoy a quiet weekend in the Big South Fork area of southern KY.

a Klymit packraft...I didn't know they made one. Were you able to actually use it?
 
This reminds me of trails I've been on back in Indiana. Beautiful! I enjoyed the full write-up on your blog.

I managed to find a little bit of water that was deep enough to test it out. I got the packraft off of Massdrop for $115 shipped. I've seen it there twice in the last couple of months. Phil @ sectionhiker reviewed it a couple months ago which put it on my radar.
