Adirondack Paddle Sept 2019

Today we decided to get some paddling in so we traveled to Moose Pond (north of the Lake Placid area) ... we had never visited this particular spot but it looked interesting on the map. We were not disappointed! Mostly sunny, breezy at times, warm in the sun on the rocks at lunch & out of the wind.

This was how the "pond" greeted us upon our arrival ...


Here's Jackie paddling her Wee Lassie as we head out down the pond ....


Reflections on the pond ... the cone shaped mountain on the left (way back there) is Whiteface. The two closer peaks to the right are Moose & McKenzie


We found this sand beach on the SE side of the pond ...


Saw these tracks in the sand ... not sure what animal they might belong to. Looked fairly fresh.


We stopped for lunch (crackers, cheese, blueberry spread, venison sausage) and this was our view. Sweet.


Some color appearing in the trees ... should be pretty spectacular in another week or so
