A week between Kingman and Williams, AZ

I will be spending a week with a friend in the Kingman/Williams area. Two 4x4s.

Any ideas for interesting out of the way places north or south of I-40? Prefer remote vehicle camping. A high overlook is always a plus.

I'll be scouting the topos and will be heading out July 8th.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I haven't found much in the searches.
