Wanting to know all your thoughts on zero drop hiking shoes? I do all my running in zero drop shoes and looking for something similar to that with hiking boots but still durable fro long hikes.

I am looking at inov-8 Roclite 286 GTX and vivo barefoot Tracker. Any one have either of these or something similar?

I wear Altra trail runners for hiking. They are zero drop and have a very wide toe box that I really like. They are not as tough as the LaSportivia that I switched from and not as much traction. But they do good enough.

I use Altras when running and love them, I don't really see the benefit when hiking or backpacking though, if anything a little incline is nice in steep sections IMO. I do like a wide foot box running or hiking though.

Altra is a great company, I have one of their first pairs of shoes they created, which they no longer make.... little disappointed. Anywho, does altra make any boot like shoe though? I think they are all sneaker type, no high tops if that makes sense?

Altra is supposed to be coming out with a mid version of the lone peak June/July this year Altra_Lone_Peak_Neoshell_Mid_Men\'s_Lime_Charcoal.jpg
