Hey everyone,
Finally start to get into backpacking! Had fairly much day hiking experiences (you know, those famous NP trails..)
Planning my first backpacking trip for thanksgiving weekend.. Sure I will get lots of useful info here and share what I have.

Currently live in TX, just bought flights to Vegas for thanksgiving (5th time already haha, always the cheapest)

Was thinking about Paria Canyon, but some others informed me there could be lots of water in the slot canyon
Reflection canyon is another choice, but Lake Powell is having this high water level ever lately..
West Rim Zion, but I'm risking the my luck since all online backpack permits are all booked out..

Still gathering infos around.. guess that's also what brought me here..
 
Well there a bunch of folks that can help you in that region. I'm not one of them. Good luck with it.
