This was my first intense hike for a 9 miles round trip with elevation gain of 6291 feet. I have to admit, coming from New York-I did not understand what elevation gain means and thought it would be okay to hike. Oh boy! It was my first climb to Twin Peak. There was still snow in the ground. We took the Broad Forks trail up Big Cottonwood Canyon just South of Salt Lake City. It was a great hike and there were a few obstacles I experienced along the way, but it was a very straightforward hike overall.
Getting cranky here.
Finally got on top! Happy Camper.
Heading back home.
