Timpooneke Trail

For whatever reason when I saw the title of your report my mind thought
Timpanooke road. Then I read "wildflowers, wildlife and mountain goats"
and I was confused because there's none of that on the Timpanooke road.

Unfortunately, every time I've hiked Timp I've done the Aspen Grove approach.
This is way better!

I'm no photographer either but I can only imagine that those shots of the bird
(hummingbird?) are tough shots. Well done!

Thanks for sharing!

Both ways up Timp have their pluses and minuses... Mostly pluses if you can avoid the crowds on a weekday.

Love the hummingbirds, wonderful!

Thought of being snarky about a campsite but decided against too late.

you mean when 200' can also be measured with the alternative math as 10' or less...

There is actually a great group of volunteers and emergency responders up there, TERT. They are usually setup at the shelter.
Someone was pitching down in the same area on the island in the lake, when I was up there once and they politely came and told them to bugger off into the woods.

I once watched someones tent set up on the edge of that lake blow right over and into the lake. I laughed.
