If you're seeing this post, that means the DNS servers have propagated in your area and you are now on the new and improved backcountrypost server. Post at will. It will probably take into Sunday sometime for all users to be hitting this site.

If you encounter anything strange while using the site, please, please, please tell me. Sometimes there are problems with new servers that we don't anticipate.

Thanks for your patience during the move!

Still a few stragglers hitting the old server. For as fancy as the internet is, this DNS propagation thing is kind of a joke how poorly it works. Hopefully this is the last server move for several years at least.

No kidding. But a "rule of the road". Makes it really tough to put up a "sorry" server or do a migration like this. It is due to the highly distributed, massively redundant nature of this network we call the internet (plus the thing is all made of tubes...).

What a complex series of tubes! I guess if it were not for the dynamic, constantly changing nature of a site like BCP, propagation times would not be an issue at all. It's that damn interactivity! :)
