I've attempted to summit Storm Mountain before unsuccessfully. I took a route that got me into some really thick stuff. I was invited to take another stab at it. I couldn't have asked for better weather. Furgeson canyon was clear of snow all of the way up to the split in the trail. There's a lot of water run off in parts though. Once we left the main trail we started to get into some snow. We used microspikes for part of it but the snow was pretty soft most of the way. It was pretty rugged. More then I expected but we made. Round trip was about 5 hours.
