Looking to potentially do a 3 day trip in the Vernal area during front end of first week of April with the family for a bit of a Spring Break trip. We've never been to this part of the state.
We're looking to camp, and at the moment, will probably try our luck with a walk in site at Red Fleet or Steinaker SP. However, if there's some nice primitive close to Vernal, those would be nice to know too.
For day time activities with the little ones, some ideas I've cobbled together are:
Moonshine Arch
Dino Quarry display
Josie Morris Cabin/Hog Canon/Box Canyon + nearby petroglyphs
McConkie Ranch
Fantasy Canyon (maybe?)
All that alone is probably plenty to keep us busy for 3 days, but is there anything else worth knowing about for this kind of a trip that could be fun for some little ones that not too far away from this general area?
