At the end of April, we had a successful trip to the Southern Waterpocket Fold in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. This is a remote and seldom visited area just north of Lake Powell and east of the Escalante River. Helpful trip planning suggestions came from this site and we thank those that responded to our Trip Planning query. For readers who might be interested, our illustrated trip report is published at: https://doingmiles.com/2023-04-utah/

Here are a few photos from our excursion:20230428_010213545_iOS.jpeg20230426_221246625_iOS.jpeg20230425_142300174_iOS.jpeg20230423_213458405_iOS.jpeg

Fabulous photos! I loved your informative and thoughtful trip report. Your quote from Allen is enough for me to know this isn't the right trip for us (yet?): “If you have any doubts about your qualifications to do any of the routes, they are not for you..." Oh well - hopefully someday...

So awesome!!! I'd love to do a trip just like this someday...

Great TR! Really looking forward to getting back to that part of the world next spring.

Beautiful photos! Sobering being able to cut through a large chunk of what was once Lake Powell.
