Shelter Recommendations Near Lake Powell

My wife and I are heading out for a week on a houseboat with family on Lake Powell. We would like to "get away" for a night or two, hiking away from where ever we end up parking the houseboat. Its going to be mid 70s over night so we won't need sleeping bags per se. I'm thinking about bring my Tarp Tent Stratospire2 as I don't know what the bug situation will be like. What should I expect in that regard? Also I'm wondering what kind of tent stakes I should bring. I expect we'll be up and away from the lake but I'm not sure what kind of ground we'll encounter. Any recommendations?

I don't even take stakes in the region, just nice long (~3' each) guylines and use rocks. Slickrock is by far my fav ground for a camp and there's plenty of it out there.
