Only two, relatively flat miles from pavement, Scudder is a perfect destination in and of itself for first-timers or is a great Friday-evening goal for those who would like to get a head start on a more ambitious weekend destination. This serene, water lily cloaked lake is below treeline yet offers fine views of the southwest face of Mount Agassiz.
