I dunno... 4 oz isn't too bad, but I think for backpacking and such, I'd rather just carry a Spot. Interesting product though, especially at the kickstarter rate.

I understood the plastic housing to weigh 4oz. With the balloon, cartridge and batteries to keep the led lit for a week, I thought it weighed just under 2lbs? Either way, no thanks.
