I had been looking at one of these since they came out. The idea of filtering enough water for a good sized group easily and quickly was promising and it packed down to nothing. Luckily, my brother pulled the trigger before I did so I got to check it out.
We took this thing on a four day trip down Coyote Gulch and it was sweeeeet. In fact, even with a large group, ( six of us), I neve pulled my own filter out. This thing was able to keep up with our needs and ran flawlessly, providing clean, great tasting water on demand. The filter started to slow down as the trip progressed but the water was very silty and we didn't bring the prefilter. We actually just started using a bandana and that worked well.
Overall, I would suggest this to about anyone. I know I am goin to get one so I can stop pumping water all night when I have my kids with me.
