Governor announced he is opening up state parks to all Utah people. No more county only. A few parks will remain closed(didn't say which ones)

Working with NPS to open the National Parks up to Utah citizens only for the time being. Might make my Maze date on the 20th!

Lame. Don't you get a pass because you live in one of those counties?
I suppose I didn't word that exactly right. According to the order only Emery County residents can camp in Emery County, Grand residents in Grand, etc. Where the heck is there anywhere nice to camp in Carbon County?! :roflmao:

I disagree with this; either open the parks to all people or close them to all. How is it legal to discriminate by restricting access to public land to just a favored subset of the population? Here in Texas, some cities wanted to restrict beach access to local residents only to chase out spring break tourists, but the state determined that as public property, the land must be open to all the public or closed completely. Our state parks also closed to everyone.

Plus, it's no safer for someone to drive a longer distance within the same state (or county) than to drive a shorter distance from surrounding states/counties. A virus doesn't care about an imaginary line on the ground, it's not going to magically stop at the border.
