My friend Eric drove out from New Jersey and had two days for a backcountry trip. We decided to take the Coffee Creek trail to Caribou lakes. This was a 18 mile out and back with over 4500 feet of elevation gain. Normally a heavy trafficked trail the only other group we saw was a California Conservation Crew doing trail maintenance.

The highlight of the return trip was logging how many mile Olive would end up carrying this sizable stick. She dropped it to chase a chipmunk after 3.4 miles.
