overnighter in Uintas.

I have not gotten into the Uintas nearly as much as I was planning or expecting to this summer. I have next Friday off and am wanting to get in a quick overnight from Friday night to Saturday. I am currently thinking Amethyst Basin, since it's only 6 miles in. Any other ideas for something that would work well for 1 night?

I'd like to see a TR from somewhere new. How about doing a through hike from Crystal Lake TH to Smith & Morehouse? It's 10-12 miles and would be a great overnighter. Hidden Lake south of Weir Lake would make another good TR. Some of the lakes off of the Upper Setting Road would be another great TR for an overlooked area, such as Castle Lake to Elkhorn Lake. The upper Weber in the vicinity of Abes Lake or Anchor Lake look quite nice as well. Good luck!

I decided I might just skip out on Sunday and do 2 nights up there. I have been wanting to get into Allsop all summer and every time I plan it it falls through, so I am bound and determined to just do it by myself.
