Hi all,

Went on my first back country trip (Colorado Rockies) last summer and I've been itching to go back ever since. I'm planning on a few days in the Needles in April. Found this site while researching that area. Looks like a fun and knowledgeable bunch here. I've enjoyed reading all the trip reports for Southern Utah.

A few days in the Needles? Backpacking or hiking from a base camp?

Welcome.

A little of both I suppose. We're staying one night in Big Springs Canyon and the next couple of nights in Elephant Canyon. I imagine we'll day hike out of EC3 for a couple of days.

What week are you going? I'll be there in April too from the 16th to 21st and I'm staying at EC3 on the 19th.

And welcome!

You have come to a great place, lots of great folks here. Keep your stick on the ice,

@Craiger We`ve been to the Colorado Rockies last year as well, camping three nights in Aspenglen CG.
And now we are planning Needles for June as well, hiking Salt Creek. Funny :).
Are you going to Druid Arch? Great photo location!

Druid arch is definitely on my must see list when I'm there. That and the Joint Trail and Chesler Park loop.
