Little help please!

Ok so why am I having so much trouble uploading an avatar picture? I am doing everything that it says but it's not uploading!!
Any suggestions....and keep in mind I am completely computer illiterate

are you receiving a message or error when trying to upload avatar?
If you can attach the photo to this post I can take a look at it for you.

Haha. Looks like Summit and I replied at the exact same time. Either of those options would work. I'm guessing it isn't working because it is a very large, full-size image.

A couple days ago I couldnt upload anything using firefox. I used google chrome instead and uploaded about 15 pictures.

Firefox has been kinda buggy for me lately. Not on BCP but elsewhere. What was it telling you? Like did you get an error or just didn't work?

No error message just won't upload! I am using Firefox though. Yes it is a full size image, is there a way to scale it down?

both! Either it would be stuck at 100% for in one case upwards of an hour before I closed it, or it would say error unable to.... (the error was the most common reason) Chrome worked great though!

The best way is to scale it down in the photo editing/management software you use. Or just email it to me.

So just to make sure it's a bug and not something else, is this similar to what you see when you go to your 'Personal Details' page?



And when you click the image to change your avatar, do you get this window?

Thanks, yes I see the image window but with the generic image. When I try to click, nothing happens, I surely do not get the Avatar Editor. Here is my avatar: oops, windows paint left me with an "image within a window" maybe you can fit it? Thanks

Ok so Im not real internet savy. I know just enough to get meself in trouble. I would like to create a trip report so I can win that sleeping bag but I don't have a blog or my own website. Can I create a trip report here?

Then pick your type of trip from the list. Then just click 'Post New Thread'. To win the sleeping bag, you just need at least 5 photos or 1 video and a paragraph about your trip. More is better. Welcome to BCP!
