lake blanche tomorrow? good or bad idea?

Trying to find somewhere for a quick 1 night trip. We were thinking lake blanche? Good idea? Bad idea? Any other ideas you all might have?

My guess is that there's still snow up there but you could get lucky. Best case scenario, you'll have to walk through drifts and you'll have a nice drink cooler there. Report back and let us know how it is!

Hm. Well my sister is getting scared that it will be freezing and covered in snow. Those photos might help tho

I just went back and checked. Those were actually taken May 31. I'd bet it will be significantly snowier right now. The snowmelt waterfalls pouring down from Sundial Peak are sweet though.

I will say there will still be snow. But you still might find a good spot to camp. It's not really that far so if you decided it's too cold you could leave.

Well there was most definitely still snow up there, but it was beautiful! Going back down in the snow was a little difficult, but we managed to make it out alive with no injuries haha. We didn't end up staying the night, but we will definitely be returning for a night stay once it warms up.
