Kayenta area?

I was planning on taking a trip to the Kayenta/ Navajo National Monument area and was wondering if there is any camping in the area being that its on the res. Also am wondering if there are any cool canyons nearby anyone knows of. I have never checked this area out but it looks cool on Google earth.

Anything on the res outside of National monuments will take a Res permit from the local chapter house. You have to know what chapter area you are in. I'd suggest going to the Navajo website to check that out.

Not sure when you are planning to go to Navajo NM but they have winter hours. I am not sure you can go to Betatakin or Keet Seel ruins then. Call the Monument to make sure.
