I recently completed a 7 day kayaking trip on Lake Powell. It was a beautiful trip and I tried to create a TR on this site, but deleted it somehow in the process. Looks like an awesome trip! I personally despise the existence of the dam, but I see no reason not to explore what's left of Glen Canyon either. As your pictures prove, lots of beautiful places still continue to exist.

Looks like an amazing trip. Was it pretty tough getting from the lake up into the canyons? Like through the mid-zone of sludge and quicksand? I just spent a weekend in Escalante backpacking and we tried to make it to the lake in Fiftymile but the quicksand was overwhelming. Made me rethink future plans I'd like to do that involve crossing through the boundary between lake and canyon.
