Jetboil Lid Shrinking

I just picked up a used Jetboil at a thrift store for $10. The lid didn't fit so I emailed customer service about it. Apparently it is a common issue. I tried heating it but no luck. Anyone else had this type of problem? Does it also happen with the replacement lids?

A lid from a small container of cream cheese from my fridge worked perfectly.
