My name is Phillip, I'm located in central Utah. I'm an avid off-road enthusiast with a love for the desert and mountains. I recently found that I just love expedition type adventures into the far off places where the beauty is not over taken by the normal tourists. My current vehicle is a '97 Jeep Cherokee which I refer to as "DesertXJ". It's my toy and it's always in a constant state of being made better as an expedition rig.
I found this site when exploring options for some road trips, and I have been lurking and reading for about a week now. The great trip reports and stunning photos keep me coming back for more, and I finally decided to introduce myself.
I enjoy also shooting pictures and went and bought a Canon DSLR T5i about a year ago.
I'm married with 4 boys, two of which are still at home ages 14 and 11. They like to go with me most of the time, but my faithful companion "Tuff" (Australian cattle/Blue healer) is always with me.
I hope to be able to give as much as I get from this site.
