Just returned from Escalante/Choprock. I've lurked around this site for some time. Have backpacked throughout Escalante for the past 25-30 years. Took a break from E right around Covid due to the mind-blowing amount of cars at the trailheads. Spent the past few years exploring White Canyon/Gravel Canyon area and getting a couple hips replaced. We decided to head back to Escalante in hopes of finding it the way we remembered it....and gratefully it was just that and more. It's nice to be able to hike again after a couple year break and be reminded of what a special place this is. I used to come down here to escape, now it's more dropping out. However, with everything taking place in this world it's nice to havre a few places to escape to when needed. Digging around for info regarding Stevens Canyon-Baker Trail to Halls Creek. Thanks in advance for the great info I sure can be gleaned from this site.
