Afternoon everyone...

Just happened across this site while checking out a link over on a Reddit board and just had to sign up! I moved to Northern New Mexico from the East Coast and have been enjoying getting out every chance I get. I am comfortable doing both backpacking and day hikes, though since I came out West, its been mostly hiking. I do not mind solo backpacking, but would not mind finding a few others now that I am here in the West.

My bucket list of places out here I need to get to has gotten quite long the more I read, and the more trip reports/pics I see.

Hi Shirt! I'm actually cycling through northern New Mexico right now, or trying to. Lots of snow lately. Hope you enjoy the site!

Welcome shirt. Just started out here myself. Originally from Northern Arizona, and lived for awhile in Northern New Mexico. Some really great day hikes in the area and one of my favorite overnights is right across the border into Colorado near Bayfield. Hopefully you can meet some people in your area, plenty of great ones on this site.

Hello Shirt! And welcome to New Mexico!! I've lived here my whole life, so I have lots of recommendations for you! What part of the state are you in?

We have been seeing a good bit of snow the last month or so.

I currently am living in Las Vegas. While a change from my last place back East, I am enjoying it here. Its also not to tough to get out on the trails from here.

Ah, Las Vegas New Mexico! I spent part of my most memorable Thanksgiving ever there. Be sure to get out and enjoy the hot springs north of town.
