Hello from KY

I stumbled on this site after a mention on backpackinglight and I have been enjoyed reading lots of different trip reports. I live in Lexington KY and do the majority of my backpacking in KY, TN and NC. One of these days I'm going to make it out west to enjoy all of the views. The last year or so, I have been posting my trip pics on a blog since I found that I would take pictures and then never really look at them after a trip. You can check it out if you would like, we have a lot more greenery than the western pics I see here

Here is a pic from a trip to the Smokies earlier this summer to remind you of "home". I find the SE Appalachians to be great backpacking country, but it is really hard to find a sweeping vista, but we have lots of views like the one below and I never carry a lot of water
