Hey folks,
My name's Michael, I work in the federal government for an organization called 18F (18f.gsa.gov). We help other government agencies develop modern technology to improve their services with the public.
Land management agencies have various permits and processes for commercial operators like guides and outfitters. We're trying to understand how folks report their estimated and actual activity in parks, forests, and lands. The reporting documents are often called "Actual Use," "Estimated Use," or sometimes "Operating Plans."
We've heard some people say they file weekly, monthly, and annually depending on the area. Some folks send excel docs, others just an email. It sounds like there might be an opportunity to build something that improves the experience.
We'd love to hear your questions, concerns, stories and thoughts as we continue our research.
Thanks!
Michael
