Have been using this site quite a bit lately and decided I should quit lurking and join up formally. Have been living in SW Colorado for the last eight years. What a great spot. My wife and I enjoy hiking, camping, climbing and, more recently, slot canyoneering. Also spend a lot of time searching out and viewing ancient rock art and ruins. I'm a volunteer site steward for the BLM here in the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. We are retired and have all the time in the world. The only thing we seem to be missing is enough partners to keep us company on some of our outings. Thanks for all the great info that you guys have been sharing and if anyone ever needs some partners for adventuring in SE Utah or anywhere in the Four Corners area, let us know.

Cortez, right near Hovenweep, one of my favorite places. I frequent the Grand Gulch plateau and Dominguez Canyon, allways (well, almost always) like company. I live in Carbondale.
