Green River Lakes in May

I want to take the family camping this summer, and was thinking that Green River Lakes would make a nice destination for some family camping. I am not sure on how early one can access the area though. I am hoping that with the snow pack looking pretty poor up there by the mid to end of May it would be accessible. Any thoughts?

Just a guess but I would think even with normal snowpack, you could totally get in there by late May. The Pinedale Ranger station might be able to give you some insight on when that road is usually open.
