Has anyone hiked Deer Creek Falls or Thunder Spring via the Bill Hall trailhead lately? I am looking for current conditions and/or any suggestions. I am hiking it on April 20th or so.

Not recently -- but the higher elevations in Zion were really dry last week so I'm guessing it's even more dry there. A late season storm could change that by late April, but probably not too likely.

Are you mostly concerned about the road going in? I don't think the trail will be a problem barring a BIG storm.

Thanks Jammer, and yes concerned about the road going in. I have never driven it and have not done the hike; can I drive right to the Bill Hall trailhead?

We did a Kanab Crk - Colorado River - near Deer Creek loop from Sowatts Point one April. Road was clear to our turnoff near Burnt Coral Point, but we had hopped over to forest road 423 and 427. Past Big Saddle tank is high country (7400 ft) There is another road that stays on the ridge that gets more sun may do. You could always switch to Indian Hollow Campground TH, it's 800 ft lower. I would give a call to the Kaibab Ranger Station in Fredonia and ask about roads going up there.
