I recently moved back to Utah from the Bay Area and I'm excited to explore all the places I took for granted when I lived here in my younger days.
Looking for any good ideas for a two day camping trip coming up next weekend. I'm hoping the weather holds out so I can go up to the High Uinta's.

looking forward to all the wisdom this site seems to teaming with!

yeah, I was warned by a good friend to be sure to take an orange vest :). I'm hoping to go a little higher than where most hunters will be going so any thoughts on some good backpacking spots are surely welcome.

thanks for the warning on the possible crowds.

Uintas are a bit cold this time of year, and it happens to be peak season down south...

Thanks SLC-Dan for the heads up on cold.
I'm kind of hoping its on the cooler side honestly, I'll finally get to use some of this cold weather gear I've been hoarding for the past little while :)

Given the cool temps and lack of crowds, I'd go for some of the stuff on the west side of 150. The Clyde Lake Loop with a side trip to Ibantik would be a nice 2-day trip. Or even without the side trip there is plenty to do. It's not terribly long, but there are dozens of lakes and tons to explore. Also not being too long can be nice if the weather moves in and dumps a foot of snow on you.

Thanks Nick for the direction! Starting to get excited for next weekend!
