So with all the talk of Fremont Peak here recently, thinking about climbing it this weekend. Is it possible to climb from the elkhart park th in two lomg days? Know its roughly 28 miles to amd from titcomb basin. How long, time wise, is the actual climb from titcomb basin?

I can't answer your questions, but if you do climb it, please be sure and post lots of photos so we can all say in amazement, "Fremont Peak!" ;)

I can't help with the actual climb but the walk out from Titcomb isn't bad. I've done it a few times and seems to maintain a fairly steady rate of 2mph coming out (going in I'm a bit slower). I would think doing that walk after a climb would be a bit taxing though. But if you're in good shape, it's probably doable.

Probably doable if you're in good shape and used to doing super long hikes. Once while in Indian Basin, I met a couple who was going to hike up to Indian Pass as a day hike (from Elkhart Park). They turned around after talking to us and finding that it had been cloudy for the past couple days though (not sure why, the views from the pass were still great). I've eyed the route up Fremont from both Indian and Titcomb basins and would like to do it someday. It's about the only mountain I seriously want to summit.
