Fly Fishing Weber River 01-27-12

Hit up the Weber for a few hours this past Friday. Managed to catch half a dozen fish. Temps were decent and the river wasn't as icy as a couple weeks ago. Here's a short video of a few fish I caught.

Man, it's been a looooong time since I fly fished a proper river. I used to go out on the Logan 5-6 nights a week. The Weber looks nice! Are you just nymphing this time of year?

I love fishing the Logan! I used to hit it up 3 or 4 times a week when I was up at Utah State. I'm mostly nymphing right now. There isn't hardly any surface action. Every once in a while I'll throw a streamer on in some of the bigger holes to see if I can get something to go after it but with the water temp being low the fish are a little less aggressive this time of the year.
