Hello my name is Teri,
Im planning on taking a trip down the Green River from Ruby Ranch to Mineral Bottom either end of this July or August. I'm figuring it might be pretty busy? Does anyone have any suggestions and or tips about doing this. I have done a 2 week river trip with Outward Bound years ago down Deso and Gray then into Lake Powell. Im just not sure about it being to crowded to find a place to camp. But other than that I feel confident about the trip.
Also any cool side hike tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
Do

It will be hot and dry, that would be my largest concern at that point of the summer. Flow will be lower so sand bar camping should be possible.

I'm thinking of doing a Labyrinth trip in August as well. Based on the projected flows coming out of Flaming Gorge, I'm hoping for 2-3k CFS throughout August. That's about what it was on my first trip in October a few years back and it was good. We hit ground a few times but no big deal. There was quite a bit of good beach camping but spots were still a bit sparse beyond Bowknot Bend. I would not expect it to be all that crowded but maybe I'm wrong?

We will be making a 3 day trip out of it. It's my first time planning a trip like this I'll just keep track of mileage and make sure we stop if we see a good camp spot I would hate to pass and not find something till late. So 15 miles a day or so
