I thought it would be cool to post pics of that illusive life giving item in the desert, the pool. I have a few that I return to, so I thought I would share them. If anyone else has a favorite, feel free to add.

My friend Mike at the big pool in Mule Canyon (note the ruin above). My family and I have been coming here for years. Heaven.

Up Mule a couple of miles from the last pool, is this cave opposite 3 story house (our name). It has always had water for me, with just enough room or my bag nearby.

I reveal the location of this one with a heavy heart, It is up Green House Canyon (in Grand Gulch), itself a fairly mundane canyon as canyons go (Green House Ruin is cool though). But if you are patient I would say a mile up this side canyon (just down the Gulch from Bullet Canyon) is this remarkable place.

Very nice Jamal. It has been years since I was in Dark Canyon, but I do remember many large pools.
Nice shot of Fourtymile Nick.
Here are a couple from Dominguez Canyon, in a rare instance when the creek was not flowing:

On top of Red Mountain near Hellhole Canyon and Kayenta Crack near St. George.
This was a really great pot hole we passed yesterday. Usually it's a lot deeper but it still was impressive.
I will head back for an overnighter soon and explore more of the area, because there are a lot more of these pools and potholes nearby.

This one looks exquisite!
I might retire there.
