Current Condition of Cottonwood Canyon Road

Hi,

Planning to hike Yellow Rock on WEdnesday ( weather permitting ).

Was wondering if anyone has driven the road recently and can comment on its condition. We will have a rental SUV, but keen on advice whether we should stump up for a 4WD for the day.

Any suggestions on whom to speak with? I guess the BLM guys on th 89 will know...

remember that 89 is closed to through traffic through the Page area due to the road slumping this winter.
if coming from the south you will have to take an alternate route.

I looked at the BLM road report in person yesterday, but didn't check Cottonwood Canyon. For what it's worth, Hole in the Rock is in great shape right now.
