Bridge install over Cottonwood on Rt 95, just outside Blanding on Columbus Day Oct 14 2024

I'm having trouble finding info on timing. Is it a one-day event, or will it be bad for several days/weeks?

I drove through there on Tuesday and it was already one-way-at-a-time

How was it? A Utah Traffic Jam Nightmare (5-minute delay) or significant 30-minute to 1-hour delays?

this was around 9am on Tuesday and I was pretty much the only person on the road! it was like 3 minutes for the flaggers to radio each other and then they waved me through. I suppose it would be different on Friday or Sunday evening.

just randomly, although I've been on this part of 95 before, I don't think I've driven from Natural Bridges to Hite with a low morning sun behind me. it was really spectacular!

It has been a 5 min delay this week because its one lane. BUT THAT’S NOT THE CASE ON MONDAY. There’s a big sign, expect major delays 10/14 because they are installing a bridge. So Monday is not equivalent to the other days according to the sign. I would assume they are installing the second lane with bigger equipment (they clearly made everything ready for that).

No idea why this has to happen on Columbus day.

The sign indicates it will be bad on Monday only. We passed the sign this morning. “Expect major delays 10/14 - bridge install.”
