Sheila and I had a nice day hike to the top of Black Mountain Ridge yesterday. It was nice to get up above the haze in the valley for a bit.
Getting ready at the trailhead. Somebody's shadow got in the way.
Only remaining flower that I saw - maybe some goldenaster
I'd done the Avenues Twin Peaks the day before, so I was covering the same ground at the beginning - the south twin above
Hard to see, but there are a rafter of turkeys on the hillside heading towards the scrub oak
Past their prime fall colors
The South Avenues Twin. We are curving around on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail
A few leaves still with some vivid color to them
And one fallen with frost around its edges

There is your snow @Bob, maybe a 1/4 inch. North Avenues Twin above.

Sheila, working her way uphill. We had a coyote serenading us all the way to the top of the ridge. It was yipping somewhere down
in City Creek Canyon.

The workhorses for this hike: an old 2003 Canon Digital Rebel, and a Canon PowerShot G7 which was acting up. I may have
bought a lemon.
Ridge shot
A BCP welcome. Wrist update - I have been put in another custom made brace for at least five more weeks. I will be getting a
steroid shot into the TFCC in two weeks to see if it will help calm down the pain when I twist my wrist. We shall see.
