Given the lack of snow and high temps in southern utah, wondering if anyone has tried to venture into Beef Basin via the Bridger Jack Mesa Road. We will be visiting Cedar Mesa but also looking for some other higher altitude options. Another possibilty might be Dark Canyon. Normally this would be a crazy question to ask this time of year... Thanks.

Maybe call the Monticello BLM office to see if they know the current road conditions?

I've been early May, but out to Fable Valley. There is one place the snow hangs on the road in a drift but its at 8500 ft. The roads over to the Basin are less than that. I'd guess you'd get in baring any major snow before you go.... Take shovels!! in case.
Unless you'er coming out of Canyonlands, via Bobby's Hole...That road generally requires a really good 4x4 and driver.
Higher up on Elk Ridge area could be some snow. Best call the Forest and ask about that. The Elk Ridge snowtel right now says 11 inches. Temps about mid 30s and miud 50s so its melting fast.
