BANFF Film Festival 2018

Has anyone gone or is planning to go this year? I just went to both nights this week at it’s nearest stop from me (Suffern, NY). Both nights were great. Probably not my favorite year film wise, but there were still a couple of really good ones and was still a good time. For anyone that went, what were your favorite films?

I got lucky for a second year in a row. Last year I won a pair of Leki trekking poles as one of the door prizes. Today I just got call that I won a prize package on one of the raffle tickets I bought. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Supposed to be valued at $240. A pack, $50 gift card, headlamp, Yeti thermos and some other goodies is what I was told over the phone.

I went to both nights at UVU here in Utah. I agree with your assessment that the films weren't quite as good as they have been in the past. Some of my favorites were: Ascend, Imagination, Into Twin Galaxies, Surf the Line, and Where the Wild Things Play. The films always inspire and make me want to get out and play!

Into Twin Galaxies was by far my favorite. Wish I could find a copy to link here but it’s apparently under wraps until the tour is over. The whitewater kayaking vid with the French guys was another one I really liked.

I went in Idaho Falls a few weeks ago with my son and we enjoyed it. If didn’t win anything but did get some fee MH meals.
