Stellar reflections at Glasby pond! Thanks for sharing @tomcat32 , glad you had a relaxing time.
The beaver damaged trail sections look hm....very buggy.... and I recognize the flying insect warning towards the end of your TR. It'e been a pretty wet summer in general.
How about the ticks during your trip, how bad was it? Do you spray all clothing, tent, etc in Permethrin or how do you handle the ticks? We are close by and we are considering headed up there soon for some hiking and camping. But I'm the one always covered in bites (they leave Rick alone) and we are concerned about the ticks, as we have several friends, who had their life turn up side down after tick bites (Lyme disease or Anaplasmosis). Having said that, last year early October we didn't encounter any bugs or ticks during a hike into the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness.

Just in the couple weeks since then, the bugs have been less problematic. My trip wasn't horrible with biting insects. The deer flies were gone and mosqitoes were noticable but not terrible. A month or two earlier would be much worse. I haven't heard many tick complaints on the CL50 and didn't have any myself despite plenty of tall grasses. And I did not spray.

Beautiful area, your morning on Glasby Pond looks like a great way to start the day

thanks for the report

Thrilled to hear that- thanks!

Nice report. The dedication at the end was great, as I’ve gotten older I’ve been able to think more about and appreciate the people that have had a positive influence on my life.
