Backpacking Halls Creek Narrows.

Looks like you all had a good time. I was going to take my wife down on Sunday or Monday after having done it solo last year, but the forecast for Monday was not good at all and the road conditions for accessing that part of the park were unknown to the Visitor Center at the time, even before a big rain storm pounded the whole area on Monday, and again on Tuesday. We'll have to postpone for another time.

This weather has been insane this year. May 19,20,21 we attempted to backpack Death Hollow from the Boulder Mail Trail to the Escalante River Trailhead. We camped in an overhang near the exit of Death Hollow towards the town of Escalante. It rained and snowed on us that first night and day 2 we were unable to continue south through Death Hollow due to higher than chest deep water and temperatures in the low 50's and high 40's. We camped our second night in the same spot hoping for water to lower the next day when we hiked out. Day 3 we hiked back out with a huge rain/snow storm dumping on the area behind us. I will have a video on my YouTube page soon. Wild stuff this season! I've watched many of your videos on YouTube and enjoy your trip reports. Safe travels Will.
