The guys and I decided to take a little trip in the Uintas last year around Sept. We started at East Fork Bear River trail head.
Headed up the trail we saw old logging cabins
This is just after the split to go to Allsop lake
The light was running out on us but i got a glance at Mt.Beulah
Moon a risen'
It was getting dark so we figured we better set up camp. We had about a mile and a half to Allsop so we camped below The Cathedral
The Cathedral
This is a glance back the way we came in
Lake Allsop, we hung around and fished for and hour or so with some success, but we knew we had some work ahead of us.
Looking up at Yard Peak (12706) trying to figure out the best way up. We ended up going off a little to the right of this picture, hugging the pines, man it was steep. I've read its and old sheepherder trail.
Made it!! Looking down the other side.
Ziggy on top looking at the beauty
At the top looking back at Allsop
We headed down and Made our way to Priord Lake but first we hit a smaller lake before called Norice Lake
Pretty inlet feeding Norice
We finally made it, rain headed in and i got a picture of a rainbow
Priord Lake
Sunset looking at Norice Lake
JP slingin' the rod. We were killing the tiger trout also caught some cuts
Such a beautiful place i would go to Priord again in a heart beat. We ended up seeing deer, elk and a bunch of mountain goats even heard coyotes way close to us at dusk. I really love the uintas and feel really fortunate to have such and amazing place to appreciate.
